How do you get a private pilots license?

The FAA requires candidates to meet the following requirements:

• At least 17 years old

• Able to read, write, and speak English

• Obtain a FAA medical certificate

• Pass the knowledge test

• the required aeronautical experience listed in CFR 61.109

• Pass the practical exam (the check ride)
